I have been practicing family, holistic and hospice medicine in St. Mary’s County since 2000. Over the years my practice has changed as I have grown to understand how complicated and dynamic health can be. The remaining 80% is shaped by the social, environmental, and behavioral conditions in which people live, learn, work, and play”. (1) This often-cited statistic demonstrates how vitally important it is to look at all the factors that affect a person’s life and sense of well-being.
As a Functional Medicine Practitioner, I will look for the underlying causes of your physical symptoms and diseases. I may order advanced testing from labs like Genova Diagnostics and ZRT labs to evaluate your gut microbiome, hormones, look for infections,
and examine how stress may be impacting your symptoms.
I encourage a natural approach to improving health and
can recommend herbs, dietary and lifestyle changes to
help you achieve your healthcare goals.

What is Reiki? Reiki is a gentle form of intentional energy. The client lies on a table (can also be done sitting in a chair) clothed while the practitioner moves her hands just above or on different areas of the head, torso and legs. Calming music will be playing in the background. Sessions can be performed while the person is lying on his/her stomach and/or while lying on the back. It is safe for all persons except those who have a pacemaker.
